Show him how you like to be kissed! You don’t have to tell him to do anything differently (and in fact I would advise against verbally saying anything about it). Just next time he kisses you, take the lead and kiss HIM the way you like it. Chances are, he will follow your lead.

If he broke your heart before, he could very well do it again. Tread carefully. Go to lunch with him only after turning him down a couple of times (you’re busy). If he persists with wanting to meet with you, agree to a short lunch with a set time frame:

“Sure, I could swing a quick lunch. I have about a half an hour between appointments on x day. Where should we meet?”

Don’t worry about having him pick you up. You’ll want to leave the lunch first and have your own car. Keep it light. Let him do most of the talking. Don’t show any romantic interest.

If he asks to get back together with you just smile and say something like, “Oh, hmm, that hadn’t crossed my mind. I’ll have to think it over.”

Let him do 10x more work to see you than he had to do the first time you were a couple. YOU are the one that got away. Not him.
